Pink & Gold Garden Romance: Gina & Timothy's Ballroom Wedding by Kina Wicks

When our bride, Gina, first contacted us, we were thrilled to work with her to create a custom getting ready robe for her gorgeous garden themed wedding.

Sweet and soft color palettes, and an abundance of floral accents are some of our favorite wedding elements, and Gina and Timothy got it all just right inside the Renaissance Ballroom of Chicago's Blackstone Hotel.

Back at the hotel with her beautiful bridesmaids, Gina wore our lined Kate lace robe while getting ready. Made out of French lace and lined in a luxurious silk chiffon, Gina was wrapped in a soft floral motif worthy of her elegant garden arrangement. And to keep the theme going, she gifted her girls a set of coral and pink floral getting ready robes to wear before slipping into their pale pink chiffon bridesmaid dresses.

Before the ceremony, Gina and Tim were able to spend a few private moments wandering around Grant Park, taking in the lush botanical charm that provided inspiration for the exquisite decor. Shades of soft pink and peach could be spotted from the edge of the aisle and garland centerpieces, to the sweet bridal bouquets of delicate roses and dahlias.

Garden romance followed Gina inside the brilliant white and gold ballroom, accentuated with the perfect balance of blush pinks and green. The classic style and structure of the ballroom was brought to life with glistening candlelight and the freshness of the florals. With every step of her gold Burberry wedding shoes she glowed brighter (and not just from the plenty of shimmering candles!). With every turn of her Vera Wang mermaid gown, wedding bliss radiated the room. The captivating light-filled venue and gorgeous florals all blended seamlessly for a heart-stirring event.

Gina was so kind when we spoke, we knew we wanted to capture the sweetness of her personality with the timeless elegance of her wedding - and the final results are absolutely breathtaking! Gina's special day unfolded so beautifully, it was featured on 3 different wedding blogs: StyleMePretty, Snippet & Ink, and Brides Magazine.

As for her Kate lace robe - she's saving it for those special occasions that call for something exceptional. She plans on wearing it again for her anniversary as a lovely reminder of her pre-wedding stroll through the garden, and the bright & brilliant ceremony that marked the first day of newlywed life.
